Appearance, pile height, specification, grass fiber is important to see whether artificial grass is good quality...

How to evaluate artificial turf is a very important question that has always puzzled many buyers, because most buyers and users are not experts in artificial turf. Given the lack of necessary knowledge of artificial turf in the current market, and the lack of national unified industry standards, it is increasingly necessary to correctly understand and evaluate the pros and cons of artificial turf.

Artificial turf produced in various countries and regions must comply with national and regional industrial standards and meet environmental protection requirements before export. According to Team Sport Group's years of experience, the quality of artificial turf can be examined or evaluated in the following aspects:

1. First of all, appearance

When you get the sample, first observe whether the color of the turf is natural, whether the softness of the grass is good, and how the appearance feels.

Some irresponsible manufacturers often use recycled materials to produce artificial turf in order to achieve the artificial turf price required by customers, which is an extremely irresponsible manifestation of customers. Team Sport Group produces artificial turf to ensure that every inch of grass is strictly controlled and every inch of turf is carefully made.Artificial turf made of recycled materials is often darker in color, and the color of the grass looks similar to the appearance of plastic, which is a bit hard.

2. Secondly, the specifications

The height of the grass. In principle, the longer the artificial turf soccer field is, the better. Currently, the longest grass is 60mm, which is mainly used in professional soccer fields. The most common grass length for soccer fields is about 30-50mm. Generally, domestic users recommend a length between 40mm and 50mm, which is also the height of the most popular soccer artificial turf.

In the United States, due to the long development of the artificial turf industry and the strong promotion of the industry, the height of the leisure artificial turf used by general household users is 60mm.

Density of grass. It can be evaluated from two angles: first, the number of grass needles per meter is the better from the back of the lawn; second, the row spacing, that is, the row spacing of the grass from the back of the lawn. The denser the row spacing, the better.

3. Grass fiber

The finished lawn is made of fiber, and the main components of the fiber are polyethylene, nylon, polypropylene, etc. The former two are softer than the latter and the price is higher. However, if it is too soft, the grass is difficult to stand up (here refers to sports grass), and the ball has low rebound ability. At this stage, the sixth generation of artificial turf mostly uses polyethylene and polypropylene. There are two evaluation indicators for fiber: grass fineness and fiber diameter. Common sports grass yarns are 5700, 7600, 8800, 9450 and 11500, that is, the higher the grass fiber density, the better the quality. The more grass fibers in each cluster, the finer the grass fibers and the better the quality. At present, 9450 is more commonly used in artificial turf fields, which has a long service life and high quality assurance. The diameter of the fiber is calculated in μm, generally between 50-150μm. The larger the fiber diameter, the better. The larger the diameter, the thicker the grass fiber is and the stronger it is in resistance to wear. The smaller the fiber diameter, the less wear-resistant it is. The fiber index is generally difficult to measure, so FIFA generally uses the fiber weight index.

4. Fiber quality

The larger the mass per unit length, the better the grass fiber. The weight of grass fiber is expressed in Dtex, which is defined as 1 gram per 10,000 meters of fiber, which is called 1Dtex. The larger the weight of grass fiber, the thicker the grass fiber, the larger the weight of grass fiber, the stronger the wear resistance, and the larger the weight of grass seedling fiber, the longer the service life. However, since the heavier the grass fiber, the higher the cost, the appropriate grass weight should be selected according to the age of the athletes and the frequency of use. For large sports venues, it is recommended to use grass woven with a weight of more than 11000Dtex.

5. Other aspects

Artificial turf is used for sports experience or to beautify the living environment, so the most important foot feel and color quality are the first factors to consider. The color of inferior artificial turf often burns the eyes of viewers. If it is a sports lawn, consider the feeling of the athletes running on it, the ball feel-whether the trajectory of the ball on it meets the requirements of the game.
